Yes. Exclusive territorial licences are available for most markets, subject to territory availability and the agreed commercial conditions.

Once an exclusive licence is granted, A2B will not appoint another manufacturer to produce the ALU3 system under the A2B licence within that territory during the agreed licence period.

Standard licence agreements run for 5 years, with an option to renew for a further 5 years, subject to the terms of the licence agreement.

Exclusive licences can be negotiated for 7 years. Longer terms may be considered for strategic partners operating in large markets.

Licence agreements include a minimum annual fee that applies regardless of actual production volume.

If agreed minimum production thresholds are not met, territorial exclusivity may be converted to non-exclusive status, depending on the terms of the agreement. The licence itself can continue.

No. A2B Doors is a pure licensing company. We do not manufacture, distribute or sell ALU3 doorsets in your market.

Our business model is designed to enable established door manufacturers to add certified fire-rated invisible doors to their own product portfolio and sell them under their own brand.

Where an exclusive territorial licence is agreed, A2B does not appoint another licensed manufacturer for the same territory during the agreed exclusivity period.

The A2B ALU3 30 is an internally installed pedestrian fire-resistant doorset. CE marking under the EU Construction Products Regulation depends on whether the specific product, intended use and application are covered by a mandatory harmonised technical specification.

EN 16034 is a harmonised European standard for fire-resistant and/or smoke-control characteristics of doorsets. However, its harmonised application is linked to the relevant product standards EN 14351-1 or EN 13241.

The A2B ALU3 30 is an internal pedestrian doorset and is not automatically covered by those product standards. Therefore, the existence of EN 16034 does not by itself create an automatic CE-marking obligation for the ALU3 30.

Where no mandatory harmonised technical specification applies, the applicable conformity and documentation requirements are determined according to the relevant European and national construction-product regulations of the destination market.

The A2B ALU3 30 has been fire tested and classified according to applicable European fire-resistance standards.

The tested configuration achieves classifications including EI₁ 30, EI₂ 30 and E30, together with Sa / S200 smoke resistance and C5 self-closing performance, where applicable to the tested configuration.

The fire testing and classification documentation was issued through the Bulgarian Fire Safety and Public Rescue Directorate General, EU Notified Body No. 2628.

The ALU3 30 has been tested and classified according to European fire-resistance standards. Its technical performance is therefore based on internationally recognised European test and classification methods.

However, construction-product requirements and the documentation required for placing and installing fire-resistant doorsets can vary between countries.

A2B provides the relevant technical test and classification documentation to authorised licensees, who are responsible for ensuring that the finished doorsets meet the applicable requirements of the destination market.

A2B provides authorised licensees with the relevant technical documentation supporting the ALU3 system, including applicable fire-test and classification documentation.

The licensee must manufacture the doorset in accordance with the A2B technical specification, approved materials, components, dimensions, assembly procedures and quality-control requirements.

The use of A2B technical documentation does not permit changes to critical components or construction details outside the permitted scope of the tested and classified system.

Yes.

A2B provides the licensed manufacturer with the technical specification, production documentation, material requirements, manufacturing know-how, test and classification documentation, training and quality requirements required to produce the ALU3 system.

The licensed manufacturer produces and places the doorset on the market under its own brand, subject to the applicable requirements of the destination country.

A2B acts as the technology and licensing system owner and does not itself manufacture, distribute or sell licensed ALU3 doorsets in the licensee’s territory.

The A2B licence provides the documentation required to implement and reproduce the ALU3 production system within the defined technical specification.

The ALU3 30 has been tested and classified according to European standards, including EN 1634-1 and EN 13501-2.

For EU markets, A2B will assess the applicable national requirements together with the licensee during the market-entry process.

For non-EU markets, applicability depends on the relevant national regulations and their recognition of European standards and classifications.
